Ring in the New Year at the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase with a bona fide film & television star--Boston's Jackie Flynn! A club favorite for years, Jackie rose to stardom as a long-time collaborator with popular filmmakers Peter & Bobby Farrelly who cast him in comedy hits like 'Kingpin,' 'There's Something About Mary,' 'Me, Myself & Irene,' 'Say It Isn't So,' 'Osmosis Jones,' 'Shallow Hal' & 'Stuck On You,' where he played opposite pop-diva Cher. He also appeared in 'The Game Plan' & 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' and three films in 2012: 'The Newest Pledge,' 'Here Comes the Boom' and the remake of 'The Three Stooges.'
Television fans will recognize Jackie from his many appearances on 5 seasons of 'The King of Queens' with Kevin James, the show 'Providence' and the comedy series 'Man Up, Stand-Up.' But Jackie's stardom transcends film and sitcoms as he was one of the 'Men of the Square Table' in the hugely popular Miller Lite 'Man Law' commercials that have run during the Super Bowl in recent years, an honor he shared with the likes of Jerome Bettis and Burt Reynolds.
In the world of stand-up Jackie is one of the proud winners of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition, as well as a featured performer at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival gala. Recently he was chosen to perform at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and created a golf-themed podcast 'TEE-2-GRIN' featuring fellow comedians Dennis Regan & Jimmy Shubert. In the industry he's considered a “comic’s comic”, whose refreshingly unique brand of sarcastic observational humor sets him apart from the many derivative 'cookie cutter' comics plying the airways today. Audiences young and old appreciate his wit and rapid fire “take no prisoners” delivery, and the critics love his quick wit and excellent stage presence. We know YOU are gonna love this one-man show stopper too!
Don't miss the dynamic comedy of Jackie Flynn and this New Year’s Eve's hottest ticket in town--only at the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase!
